Look, all it says is "a rare silver lotus flower." Nothing more. It doesn't say it has to be the type that has healing properties, it doesn't say nymphaea argenteus, it's just any rare silver lotus. Vague wording. This is just like the thieves we caught back in town.
I don't mean to boast or anything, but this is a wonderful work of art. The length of the petals, the symmetry of the whole, the way it now captures light and reflects it back into the eye... it's just beautiful.
The spells I used are quite simple, but not many mages know the one to add this extra gloss. This flower--this artistic result of nature and magic--is technically, right now, one of a kind. I would fit that under the category of "rare".
It's a shame. The aristocrat will probably just throw it away after his party. I agree, Myra. But, it would be more of a shame if he threw away something that can save the life of a dying mother.
