I’d recently noticed a lack of activity in the comments section as of late, and it got me blue. But I looked into it, and it seemed that disqus has been holding guest comments back, waiting for me to approve them, but never told me I had comments pending! I’ve now let them all through, but if you were expecting a reply and didn’t hear back, don’t feel blue! It was just a tech problem of sorts.
I’ll do better in checking for pending comments in the future, but the best way for you to avoid this in the future it seems is to get a login through disqus. Not sure if guest-user comments are auto allowed or not or if the problem is ongoing… but the best way around it is to ignore the problem altogether and sign up. Might as well if you’re going to be commenting a lot!
