First of all, Merry Christmas! Christmas has always been my favorite, and much of its traditions reflect the path of life and growing up. When you’re a kid, you’re more excited about getting presents. When you grow up, you’re more excited about giving presents and seeing the genuine excitement of the receiver, and gratitude also (which is something rare to come by if you’re a parent).
But, it’s hard to follow this pattern of maturity if one does not have love in one’s heart, and one does not have that connections with one’s fellow man, whether it be family or friends. All of this is important, and all of this is shown strongly and reinforced in the Christmas season! I hope that you have these things in your life, and can achieve that connection this Christmas.
We are, of course, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ today. But even non-Christians generally want to get in on the celebration (with some exceptions, of course), and are welcome to do so! Why? Because Christ came here to redeem not only those who believed him, but all mankind. There’s an urge to participate in this, much like the excitement to get new presents, and no other time is this more apparent than at Christmas.
Just think of the excitement Jesus had when He gave His, the greatest gift of all.
Anyway, I once again hope you have a good one, and I will strive to post more of these quick blogs in the coming year.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
