Why are you forced to live here?
There was a war about twelve years ago. You probably know about it; Rytland, your country from the north, and Zahndir, my country from the south, had a dispute over which of them had reign over the Regav Desert.
Yeah, I know all about the war. Rytland won after taking over a northern Zahndirian stronghold in the Regav Desert.
Right. Then the king moved there to make sure rebellions stayed down, and decided to make it the new capitol of Rytland.
The old capitol city was Knolton! Rytland only won because the bulk of the Zahndirian army was in the south, at the Sultan's castle, and they couldn't cross the impassable desert and mountains between here and there in time.
